Rescheduling, Cancellation & Weather

Plans change. Here is how scheduling changes work, what late changes cost, and what happens when the weather gets in the way.

Rescheduling

Things come up, and we do not want to penalize you for that. Give us at least 4 hours' notice by text, call, or email and we will move your shoot at no charge, based on availability.

4 hours or more

Free to reschedule.

Under 4 hours, or at the shoot

$100 fee.

Cancellation

4 hours or more

No fee.

Under 4 hours, or at the shoot

$100 cancellation fee.

No-show or no access

$100 cancellation fee.

Please make sure we can get inside at the scheduled start time, with a lockbox code or someone on site. If our photographer waits more than 15 minutes without access, the appointment is treated as a cancellation at the shoot and the $100 fee applies.

Weather

Exterior photos and drone footage depend on good conditions, so we check the forecast before every shoot.

  • Free reschedule. If rain, storms, heavy fog, or high wind would hurt quality or safety, we move the shoot at no charge. This applies most to exterior, drone, and twilight sessions.
  • Cloudy or overcast days, photos. We can replace a gray sky during editing, so clouds alone do not require a reschedule.
  • Cloudy or overcast days, video and drone. Sky replacement is harder in video, but for some shots we can try it, and we will let you know which ones when we edit. It is not guaranteed, and some clips will show the sky as it is. You can shoot as scheduled, or move the exterior and aerial portion to a brighter day at no charge.
  • Drone flights follow FAA rules and our own safety limits. We do not fly in rain, lightning, or unsafe wind.
  • Interior work such as photos, video, 3D tours, and floor plans can usually go ahead in bad weather. We may reschedule only the exterior or aerial part.
  • Twilight shoots can move to the next available evening at no charge.
  • Questionable forecast? We will contact you the morning of the shoot to confirm, adjust, or reschedule. Our photographer makes the final call on safety and quality.
  • No fee for weather. We will offer the next available slot, usually within 3 to 5 business days.

Need to Make a Change?

Contact us as early as you can. The more notice we have, the easier it is to find you a new time in Seattle / King County or Sarasota / Manatee County.
